About Sally

Work life:

My Rapid Transformational Hypnotherapy Life:

I certified as a Hypnotherapist and a Rapid Transformational Practitioner in December 2021.  This has been such an exciting development in my therapy skills.  I have always been deeply interested in psychology - completing an undergraduate degree in Psychology in the 90's. I was motivated to train in hypnotherapy after having my life beautifully changed by it in 2019.  My own hypnotherapy experience was profound and was the catalyst for so much personal growth and transformation. It really deepened my understanding of myself and the human journey. It released me from so much old trauma and old stories that were really holding me back in life. So, my own life-changing journey with hypnotherapy compelled me to be able to share its profound healing benefits with other people. So here I am!  Loving that I too can bring empowerment, freedom and happiness to those who choose to be open to it. To be their true amazing self.

My Speech and Language Therapy Life:

I have been working as a qualified Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) for adults, since 2001 - gaining a broad range of expertise working directly within the NHS until the end of 2019. Since 2019 I have worked as a Locum SLT for the NHS and as an independent SLT. I have extensive experience in stroke rehabilitation, brain injury and progressive neurological conditions, working with people in the community, either in residential/nursing homes or in their own homes. In recent years I have become a developed telehealth SLT, continuing to work with adults across a wide range of communication and swallowing difficulties. I enjoy providing both individual and group based therapy.

And now in 2024, I am very excited to be working with clients as an independent SLT.  I am seeing clients face to face in my locality and also offer telehealth therapy for those who are further afield.

As an SLT, I love to work in a way that meets the individual needs of my clients - with a holistic view to their assessment and treatment.  It is very important to me to combine clinical excellence with compassionate and meaningful therapy.

I love supporting people through their speech, language and swallowing goals. Ultimately, all to improve and maintain their desired quality of life. To be their true, amazing self.

Home life:

I was born in Hampshire and currently live in Somerset. I love being by (or on...or in!) the water - be it sea, river or lake, I love nature - especially trees, the countryside, arts and crafts, music, dancing and feeling good. And I love feeling good with other people - and animals! I live in Frome with my husband. One of the simplest things I like is to do is to spend time in our garden - we love the wildlife that visit us. It's such a treat!
